About Jill

Hello, my name is Jill and I am a Certified Feline Master Groomer through the National Cat Groomers Institute. What does that mean? A Certified Feline Master Groomer "CFMG" is a highly educated and skilled feline professional. To achieve this level of master skills, one must take several written exams on health and safety, cat breeds and colors, assessment and feline behavior, and business planning. Then there are several practical exams that one must pass to demonstrate excellence in clipper work, handling skills, sanitation of tools and salon space, and precision trims. There are no certifiers in the state of Missouri which means if you have found a CFMG, they made a huge effort, both financially and educationally, to travel out of state to get training and take practical exams.

I am also a member of the Association of Holistic Feline Specialists. I have copied the Code of Ethics that I follow below. This aligns with my beliefs that feline care isn't just about the technical skills of grooming, but also respecting cats in a compassionate manner and grooming intentionally for what their needs and best interests are.

I also hold a Master of Arts degree in Teaching from Webster University and was a public school teacher for many years. I love carrying over my teaching methods in showing clients how they can groom their cats at home in between grooming visits to me.
